Jamie Purser is the Principal and Chief Executive of Newham College London, where he leads one of the UK’s most diverse and dynamic further education institutions. Since overseeing the college’s merger with NewVIc Sixth Form College, Jamie has shaped a bold vision for integrated post-16 education in Newham, now serving around 12,000 students, including around 5000 16 – 18-year-olds across four campuses.

With a strong focus on social mobility, Jamie champions inclusive pathways into skilled employment, higher education, and lifelong learning. Under his leadership, Newham College is deeply embedded in its local community, working closely with employers and partners to tackle skills gaps and improve outcomes for all learners.
