We run a lively events programme throughout the year, bringing members and stakeholders together with our experts to network, engage, share ideas and develop policy thinking that shapes the capital’s future.

Most of our 120 events a year are for members and invited stakeholders, but if you see one you’d like to attend, please get in touch with us. Roundtable on Connectivity and Night-Time Economy in the West End

London LSIP: Getting London Building

Our forthcoming London Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) event, delivered by London Metropolitan University in partnership with BusinessLDN and New City College. The built environment industry faces a major skills shortage due to rapid changes from new technologies, materials, and the push towards net zero. An aging workforce adds to the challenge, hindering government plans for housing development and home retrofitting.

Purpose Built Student Accommodation Roundtable

This roundtable will make the case for the delivery of more purpose-built student accommodation in London. Attendees will explore the economic benefits to London of PBSA, the challenges to delivery and how the review of the London Plan could help boost supply. There will be the opportunity to hear about recent research undertaken by Unite and to further discuss how the sector can promote itself as an important and integral piece of the capital’s housing market.

Closing the Gap: Ethnicity Pay Gap Reporting in the Workplace

The Government is set to introduce mandatory ethnicity pay gap reporting for firms with 250 staff or more, as is already the case on gender. As a key driver of removing barriers to progression to leadership roles and driving race equity, boosting employer awareness of this change will be crucial to its success. This interactive session for practitioners, held in partnership with the Change the Race Ratio Campaign, will give BusinessLDN members the opportunity to gain vital insight on implementing an ethnicity pay gap reporting strategy.
