Welcoming the announcement that the London Living Wage has risen to £13.15 per hour, Muniya Barua, Deputy Chief Executive at BusinessLDN said:
“Londoners have faced a prolonged cost-of-living squeeze in recent years due to high inflation, which has led to housing, energy and others bills soaring. While many firms are facing significant cost pressures, there is a clear business case for those that can afford to do so to pay the London Living Wage, especially at a time of skills shortages. Not only does it help the lowest paid in society but it also boosts retention and recruitment of talent, giving firms a competitive edge over their rivals.”
