BusinessLDN has submitted written evidence to the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee inquiry on delivering HS2 and Euston. We continue to support HS2 reaching Euston as a nationally significant infrastructure and regeneration project that can boost productivity, improve connectivity, unlock new homes and jobs and support economic growth across London and the wider UK.
Our submission welcomes the Government’s efforts to reset the programme, but calls for greater certainty over costs, timelines and delivery to restore business and investor confidence. It highlights the need for a clear and credible plan for Euston, underpinned by effective governance and a robust funding and financing strategy, to maintain momentum and avoid further costly delays across the wider HS2 programme.
