BusinessLDN consultation response to the Planning Powers for Mayors in England consultation

We have responded to the MHCLG consultation on proposed planning powers for mayors in England. Secondary legislation will be brought forward to implement relevant parts of the English Devolution and Community Empowerment Act 2026. It largely proposes extending the Mayor of London’s existing planning powers to other mayors across England, however, it also includes some minor changes in respect of London. The consultation also covers Mayoral Development Orders.
