Briefing

We’ve got a Government with a Growth Mission. A Mayor with a Growth Plan. And yet we’re struggling for growth. The backdrop is sluggish growth, stalled productivity, and rising unemployment. Housing costs are constraining recruitment and retention, while global competitors are moving decisively to attract investment and talent. BusinessLDN wants to get the capital back on the front foot – that is the context for the BusinessLDN Growth Commission published in March.

Why attend?

Join BusinessLDN members, business leaders and stakeholders to engage directly in the Growth Commission.

The commission brings together leaders from business, culture and academia across the capital to identify barriers that are holding the city back, as well as measures to improve the economy’s performance in the short and medium term. Hear directly from some of these commissioners on the main insights from the report, how it could support your business and sector and what can be done to help take this forward.

Speakers
James Ainscough OBE, Chief Executive, Royal Albert Hall
Matthew Fell, Director, Competitiveness, BusinessLDN
Helen Gordon, Chief Executive, Grainger & Chair of the Growth Commission
John Dickie, Chief Executive, BusinessLDN (Chair)

Who should attend?
Those working as Chief Executives, Managing Directors, Financial Directors, Corporate / Government / Public Affairs Directors, interested in the Growth Commission work and how it can apply to their business.
