Climate change poses significant risks for London and the UK as a place to do business. As the weather becomes more extreme and less predictable, the risk of drought and water shortages is increasing. In London and the South East, if we do not take preventative action, we face a water shortage of up to one billion litres a day by 2050. Severe drought could cost London’s economy as much as £500 million per day.

Why attend?

Join Nevil Muncaster, Strategic Water Resources Director at Thames Water, for a BusinessLDN member round table on the water supply challenge the capital faces and how future shortages can be prevented.

This event offers a first-hand look at Thames Water’s multi-billion-pound investment programme in London to strengthen climate resilience, secure future water supplies, and reduce drought risk. It will also explore how business leaders across London can support the case for the regulatory and policy changes needed to unlock this investment for the benefit of current and future generations in London.

Who should attend?
Senior business leaders with an interest in investment in UK water.
