The awards celebrate and champion outstanding town planning and creative development from across London’s built environment sector. This year’s shortlist features 20 projects in the running for eight prestigious awards: ‑Best New Place to Work ‑Best Heritage or Culture Project ‑Best Community Engagement Outcomes ‑Best Mixed-Use Scheme ‑Best Project for Sustainable Planning ‑Best New Place to Live ‑Best Borough-led Project ‑The Mayor’s Award for Good Growth The entries were judged by our expert panel from our partner organisations: the Greater London Authority, the RTPI, Planning Officer’s Society, and the BAME Planners Network.

CELEBRATING PLANNING SUCCESS 

The Building London Planning Awards, in partnership with the Mayor of London, returned in 2024 for a 20^th year. The prestigious awards celebrate innovative projects that are leaders in design and sustainability across the capital.

The competition shortlist features seven categories and the event is an opportunity for shortlisted entrants, local government and built environment leaders to enjoy an evening of high-quality networking.

The categories are:

• Best New Place to Live
• Best New Place to Work
• Best Mixed-Use Scheme
• Best Heritage or Culture Project
• Best Project for Sustainable Planning
• Best Community Engagement Outcomes
• Best Borough-led project

In addition, we will also be presenting the Mayors Award for Good Growth to one of the category winners at the ceremony itself.

Competition entries are shortlisted by a judging panel from BusinessLDN and our partner organisations; The BAME Planners Network, The Greater London Authority, Planning Officer’s Society and the RTPI — who bring unique industry perspective and experience to their assessment.
