Responding to the publication of the Government’s Better Connected integrated transport strategy, BusinessLDN’s Transport Programme Director Edward Richardson said: “Businesses welcome the ambition to create a more integrated transport system that makes it simpler and more affordable for passengers across the country, including those travelling to and from London.
“Giving local leaders a stronger role will help to join up services and is something we have seen drive improvements in the capital. Plans to better connect journeys through expanded contactless services and smarter use of data are also a step in the right direction.
“A clear roadmap is now needed to turn this vision into reality so that it delivers tangible improvements for passengers.’’
