London is a beacon for talent. But at the same time above average unemployment, high in-work poverty, and acute labour shortages are holding back its potential. In 2023 BusinessLDN and its partners delivered the capital’s Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), a blueprint to give employers the skills they need and get more Londoners into jobs. With much achieved already, building on this progress to ensure skills are at the heart of the new Government’s agenda and Mayor’s London Growth Plan is vital to get the economy firing on all cylinders.
Join us in March as we explore how we can take the next steps in transforming skills and training in London in an era of change and new ambition. Through insights provided by some of the city’s top organisations and senior business leaders, we will look to answer:
How can we build on what has been achieved in the LSIP to take London’s skills system to the next level?
How can excellence in employer-educator collaboration strengthen local labour markets across the capital?
How can the capital’s businesses upskill and reskill workers to meet the challenges and opportunities of AI and Net Zero?
What do the new Government’s skills reforms mean for London?
Who should be there?
The London Employment & Skills Summit will convene 150 senior leaders from business, education and London government to drive a better skills future for the capital. The event offers a premium cross-sector networking experience for industry leaders, trainers and professionals operating across our capital city and beyond.
This event is free to attend but attendees must register in advance. Register here.
We are offering a small number of commercial partnership opportunities to carefully selected organisations. If you feel your business aligns with the objectives of the LSIP please get in touch to discuss the benefits on offer.
