Responding to TfL’s business plan, Adam Tyndall, Programme Director of Transport at BusinessLDN said:
“We are pleased that TfL is now firmly on the path back to operating subsidy-free and is refocusing on attracting passengers back to the network with infrastructure and services that are safe, efficient, and appealing.
Whilst the committed investments are welcome, they are not a full plan to help London reach net zero. Central government support and private sector engagement are required to deliver transformative capital projects, and developing a stable, funded, long-term pipeline must now be the priority.
As we have seen with the Elizabeth Line and Northern Line Extension, when business, government, and TfL work together, Londoners get a world-class travel experience, and the UK reaps the rewards of a globally competitive and economically thriving capital city.”
