Kerry Bangle
Director, Transport Planning, WSP
Kerry is WSP’s Director for Transport Planning, London and the South East. She has 25 years’ experience in a wide variety of transport and Government advisory roles in the UK and Australia. She is particularly adept at dealing with the challenge of high-profile infrastructure projects in complex and politically-charged environments as demonstrated through her senior roles on HS2, Crossrail, airport expansion projects, the expansion of London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone and is currently Programme Director for Cambridge’s ambitious road user charging scheme.
Muniya Barua
Deputy Chief Executive, BusinessLDN
Muniya Barua is Deputy Chief Executive at BusinessLDN. She leads our Policy, Campaigns and Communications team, with responsibility for our impact, influencing, thought leadership work and membership. She supports our CEO John Dickie in the running of the business and has responsibility for developing the overall business strategy. She was previously Managing Director of Policy and Strategy, and before that she ran our Corporate Affairs team.
Howard Bassford
Partner - Infrastructure and Rail, DLA Piper UK
Howard Bassford focuses on obtaining planning and other regulatory approvals for major energy, infrastructure, marine and railway development projects as well as conventional projects. He is often asked to advise on the highest-profile and most controversial development proposals. He has considerable experience in all aspects of planning, compulsory purchase and local government law. He advises regularly on industrial, retail and residential planning matters, as well as wider public law issues. Howard is regularly published and asked to comment on planning matters. Notable roles include: lead planning lawyer on the first ever development consent order - which involved special parliamentary procedure; leading the legal team for the largest infrastructure project promoted by a public authority outside London - the Mersey Gateway bridge project; and acting for the Government in relation to HS2 and Heathrow Airport. Currently, Howard is promoting one of the largest projects to be carried out by the National Grid, advising on water resources planning and is promoting several solar farm projects.
Theo Blackwell
Chief Digital Officer for London, Greater London Authority
Appointed in 2017 as London's first Chief Digital Officer, Theo leads on London-wide digital transformation, data and smart city initiatives at City Hall. His role involves: • Strategic leadership on the digital transformation agenda for London's public services, across the GLA group and the wider public sector. • Convening on behalf of the Mayor, across London local government to support the take-up of innovative, technology, and data-led approaches to service delivery and public engagement. • Developing and promoting partnership between the public, private and community sectors to enable and support the development of new public service-oriented technology and innovation. The new Smarter London Together Roadmap launched by Mayor Sadiq Khan in June 2018, is supporting the collective capabilities of the city through citizen-centred design, data-sharing, smart infrastructure, digital skills and collaboration. Siobhan is a commercial real estate partner at Linklaters who regularly acts for clients on their “big-ticket” transactions. She is experienced in the acquisition, financing, development, letting and disposal of all types of commercial real estate. Her clients include major funds, international banks, insolvency practitioners, corporates and institutional investors.
Ian Cameron
Director of Customer Service & Innovation, UK Power Networks
Ian has over 25 years’ international experience in the electricity distribution networks industry. His background is in network operations, capital construction & connections, with a specific focus on renewables and process optimisation. His responsibilities at UK Power Networks include customer service, stakeholder engagement, innovation and facilitating Net Zero. Ian spent over 12 years’ with Eskom in South Africa as a regional operations manager, he then joined UK firm Freedom Group delivering major capital projects across the south east. Since joining UK Power Networks in 2013, Ian has overseen the delivery and connection of over 230 grid scale renewable distributed generation sites, adding over 4GW to the grid before moving on to head the industry-leading Innovation Team focussing on the decarbonisation of the grid, transport and heating. Ian more recently has led high performing teams to achieve industry leading customer service. Ian holds two degrees, one in Electrical Engineering and another in Mechanical Engineering.
Jeremy Castle
Planning Director, Deloitte
Jeremy Castle has over 30 years of experience in planning and development. He joined Deloitte in 2012 and is an experienced leader of teams for large scale developments and strategic projects. He is a Mental Health Champion within the firm. Since joining Deloitte, Jeremy has led the planning of a wide range of projects including the Here East proposal for legacy use of the Broadcast/Media Centres on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park; the redevelopment of the New Covent Garden Flower Market to provide over 1,500 homes in buildings of up to 51 storeys at Thames City; and SEGRO's East London industrial portfolio. He led the review of planning potential of Transport for London’s landholdings across the capital and spent two years on secondment at TfL taking projects through the design and planning processes. He leads the planning process to relocate the City of London Corporation's three wholesale food markets to Dagenham Dock. Prior to joining Deloitte, Jeremy spent 12 years working for three major property companies leading the planning strategy for projects in Central London and the rest of the UK. Between 2008 and 2012, he was Planning Director at Battersea Power Station, where he secured the largest planning permission granted in Central London for a new 10.1m sqft town centre with 3,400 new homes, 1.7m sqft of offices and 700,000 sqft of retail, all served by an extension to the Northern Line.
Lydia Clarkson
Head of Public Realm & Policy, WESt
Lydia has over 23 years of experience in strategic management, program management, and contract management working in built environment focussed services in the West End. Having started in Waste Management in the 90’s, the last 17 years have been focussed on the regeneration and improvement of Soho and Covent Garden‘s public realm working both in local government and in Real Estate. During that time she was responsible for the delivery of more than £12m worth of investment into West End Streets. Working through a lens of place and community her focus has been on making sure the centre of London is providing spaces and places which are fit for the future by blending investment with wider purpose and long term goals. This has been achieved by delivering programmes of public realm improvement in Soho and Covent Garden as part of, and in partnership with, private investors, local councils and community groups.
Billy D'Arcy

Billy D’Arcy’s career in Telecommunications & ICT spans the past 30 years. He has occupied various senior management roles across organisations such as Telefonica O2, Worldcom, Eircom and Cable & Wireless. In 2017, he joined BAI Communications as CEO for their UK operation. BAI is a world leader in shared communications infrastructure. BAI’s leading neutral host model is helping to accelerate and optimise wireless infrastructure in the UK. Two major partnerships with Transport for London and Sunderland City Council are helping to fast track the UK’s digital transformation and build the smart communities of the future. BAI’s expertise in the UK and commitment to connect the unconnected in the most complex environments has been strengthened through its acquisition of Vilicom, a leader in high performance 4G and 5G mobile and cellular coverage solutions.
Seb Dance
Deputy Mayor for Transport and Deputy Chair, Greater London Authority
Before joining the Mayor’s team, Seb served as a Member of the European Parliament for London from 2014 to 2020, during which time he was Vice Chair of the Environment Committee, Co-ordinator for the Socialists and Democrats Group on vehicle emissions, and spokesperson for the Socialists and Democrats Group on air quality. He was also Deputy Leader of the European Parliamentary Labour Party. Prior to being elected to the European Parliament, Seb worked for the charity ActionAid UK, before which he was Special Adviser to the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland. As Deputy Mayor for Transport and Deputy Chair of Transport for London, Seb will focus on delivering the Mayor’s transport strategy, ensuring 80% of all journeys in London are on foot, by cycle or public transport by 2041.

Robin Dobson
Group Property Director, Network Rail
Robin Dobson joined Network Rail in March 2022 from Hammerson Plc – a major British property development and investment company. Robin’s heads up the Network Rail property business and his key focus is on driving growth through the national commercial estate and bringing forward development opportunities with key partners such as TfL and Homes England in support of the Government's levelling up agenda. Robin has a proven track record of delivering strong growth across regeneration projects and has significant experience across all real estate asset classes in the UK and Europe. Whilst at Hammerson PLC, his achievements included the creation of a £3bn mixed use platform of urban estates across six UK cities, including London and Dublin, comprising 6,000 private rented units, and 2.5m sq ft of workspace, hospitality, cultural and education buildings. Through this experience he has developed strong political, local authority and joint venture relationships across most UK cities which is hugely beneficial in his role in unlocking value across the Network Rail estate. In his spare time, Robin is a keen sailor, skier and has three girls.
Joanne Drew
Housing and Regeneration Director, London Borough of Enfield
Joanne is Housing and Regeneration Director at LB Enfield and co-chair of the London Housing Directors Network. She has worked in housing across the UK for central, regional, and local government, for housing associations and a national social justice charity driving transformation and the delivery of better outcomes for people, places, and the planet. At Enfield she leads a large-scale housing business and regeneration agenda. Enfield is also co-lead Borough for the London Council’s pan London Climate Change programme for warmer and greener homes through housing retrofit.
Helen Elsby
Chief Solutions Officer, Heathrow
Helen, the Chief Solutions Officer at Heathrow Airport, is accountable for bringing transformational change to rebuild Heathrow after the COVID pandemic to give passengers the best airport service in the world. She leads a team combining the core elements of change – Process, People, Infrastructure, Procurement and Technology to define and deliver end to end solutions across the business. She sits on the Executive Committee at Heathrow to turn the Strategic Direction of the organisation into Change programmes and then into Operation for the benefit of our passengers. Prior to this role, Helen was the Procurement Director responsible for the strategic sourcing and execution of all 3rd party spend. The role, which looked after more than c£1bn of operational and capital spend, has focussed on new procurement strategies to streamline the supplier base, lock in core savings whilst maintaining long term value and relationships and identify strategic partnerships such that Heathrow’s long term ambitions around Sustainability, Diversity, Innovation and Technology can be achieved. Helen has been with Heathrow for 12 years and has spent the majority of her time in construction, from Project Manager through to becoming accountable for Heathrow’s full £650m p.a. capital portfolio. She is well known for her “low ego” approach to leadership – taking a down to earth communications style with her teams, happily supporting with the “doing” as well as the leading. Outside of work, she is absorbed by her 4 year old son and as a result, she champions the mindset that everyone can have a successful career and family and that achieving a good work/life balance brings mental and physical benefits to both organisations and individuals.
Rokhsana Fiaz OBE
Mayor, London Borough of Newham
Mayor Rokhsana Fiaz OBE was elected the Mayor of Newham in May 2018. Since her election, she has been leading a transformative and radical agenda in Newham, reflecting a series of manifesto commitments to address inequality and poverty, invest in young people to widen opportunities, embed Community Wealth Building as the economic approach being adopted by the Council, increase participatory democracy and respond to the Climate Emergency. As part of an ambitious programme of scaling up Council housing delivery in the borough she is leading one the most ambitious genuinely affordable housing programmes in London through a number of significant regeneration schemes. Under her leadership, Newham also became the first council in the country to make the health, happiness and wellbeing of its residents the key indicator of economic success. As an advocate for racial justice and equalities, Rokhsana was awarded an OBE in 2019 for services to Black and Minority Ethnic Communities in the UK.

Andy Haigh
Director, Climate Positive Solutions, Grosvenor Property UK
Andy’s work as Director of Climate Positive Solutions ensures that Grosvenor responds to the latest climate science. He is responsible for developing best practice strategy and technical solutions on projects such as science-based targets, environmental resilience, energy efficiency in buildings and embodied carbon in developments. Previously Andy was Senior Sustainability Manager, Canary Wharf Contractors where he achieved board approval for their science-based targets. Before this he held a range of sustainability roles at Sir Robert McAlpine, leading the team between 2017 and 2019, and prior to that worked at Foster + Partners.
Alan Holland

Alan Holland is the Managing Director for SEGRO’s Greater London business. With a market value of £7bn the Greater London business includes over 417 customers. Historically concentrated in Park Royal and Heathrow, the portfolio has expanded its urban logistics and light industrial footprint in North and East London, with the London unit now spanning over 47 locations. SEGRO is a UK Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), listed on the London Stock Exchange and Euronext Paris, and is a leading owner, manager and developer of modern warehouses and industrial property. It owns or manages 9.6 million square metres of space (103 million square feet) valued at £21.3 billion serving customers from a wide range of industry sectors. Philip Jenkins

Phil is an experienced executive and chartered surveying professional with a sustained track record delivering multi-tenure, mixed-use development and regeneration programmes of scale. Peabody has a strategy to deliver up to 3,000 new homes per year across London and South East England as master developer in complex high-rise urban and medium-to-low-rise sub-urban settings, directly procured and in partnership arrangements, with an established pipeline of over 20,000 new homes. Phil has 33-years tri-sector experience in blue-chip private-, public- and third-sector customer-facing businesses, including regulated and FTSE 100 PLC businesses with rigorous corporate governance. His experience includes overseeing all stages of the real estate and development life-cycle, including strategic asset and estate planning; master planning; land buying; urban regeneration; design and place-making; procurement; construction; sales, marketing and aftercare; facilities and estate management. He has served as an integral part of the executive team, overseeing a series of sector mergers and business integrations, including the 2022 merger of Catalyst Housing and Peabody Trust. Before joining Peabody, Phil was Group Director of Development at Catalyst. He’s also worked for companies including Taylor Wimpey, CityWest Homes, The John Lewis Partnership and SPAR.
Dan Johnson
Founder, Placemaking London
Dan has worked for over twenty years in public realm, placemaking and sustainable transport. Dan has developed a specialism in placemaking, sustainability, healthy and active travel. Dan was the Director of Placemaking at the New West End Company, representing over 600 leading businesses, transforming the public realm, air quality and experience in the West End. Dan was the West End business community's lead representative on the £150m Oxford Street place-shaping project. Previously working for City of York Council, JMP Consulting and Transport for London. At TfL Dan managed a multi-million pound annual programme, leading on public realm, air quality, safety, cycling and pedestrian programmes across central and inner London. This included delivering concepts, strategies and on the ground schemes in places such as Soho, Strand-Aldwych, Bond Street, Vauxhall, Clapham Old Town, Baker Street and Bank junction. Dan was successful in building the case for and introducing London's first 20mph speed limits on the TLRN in the City of London and leading TfL's role in making Bank junction a cycle and bus only scheme. Dan is advising clients on pathways to a zero-carbon future and leading the transformation of the West End's public spaces, including Charing Cross Road, St Martin's Lane and the creation of a new Cultural Quarter.
The Rt Hon Ruth Kelly

Rt Hon Ruth Kelly is Chair of Thames Freeport and holds a number of other board positions. She served as MP for Bolton West between 1997 and 2010, and was appointed minister in various departments in the Blair and Brown governments. After leaving politics, Ruth held positions at HSBC Global Asset Management and subsequently at St Mary’s University.

Simon is an Executive Director at The Portman Estate. He is responsible for the Estate’s major development strategy as well as the management of head lease development activity. He covers the Estate’s area-wide placemaking including town planning, stakeholder engagement and public realm improvement. Simon is Chair for the Baker Street Quarter Partnership BID as well as being Vice-chair for the Marble Arch London BID. Simon is also a board member of the Westminster Property Association.
Sam Margolis
Head of Transport Strategy & Projects, London Borough of Camden
Sam is currently the Head of Transport Strategy & Projects at Camden Council, where he has been for the last 6 years. Prior to that Sam worked for the Royal Borough of Greenwich and Tower Hamlets Council in transport planner roles, and has been in local government for 16 years. Sam also has private sector experience with 4 years working for National Express Group. In Sam’s current role he oversees a team of 30 officers delivering the Camden Transport Strategy and in doing so contributing to wider Council priorities, including around carbon reduction and cleaner air. The programme includes delivery of ambitious Healthy Streets infrastructure schemes, including the recently completed £40m West End Project, and forthcoming £35m+ Holborn Liveable Neighbourhood project, alongside Borough-wide roll out of cycle networks, traffic reduction measures and public realm improvements. The programme also includes delivering policy interventions relating to parking, behaviour change/education programmes, and transport planning commentary on new developments.
Neil McGonigle
Director, Head of Driver, Uber UK
Having spent 17 years at Accenture, Neil joined Uber in 2015 as part of the team that launched the Uber service in cities and towns across the UK. He is part of the UK Leadership Team and has held a number of roles across the business. Neil is currently Head of Driver Operations, with his remit including Uber's vision to electrify its fleet in London by 2025 and across the UK by 2030.
Craig McWilliam
Chief Executive, The Arch Company
Craig McWilliam became The Arch Company’s Chief Executive Officer in January 2022. The Arch Company is the UK’s largest landlord to small and medium sized enterprises, with a diverse portfolio of approximately 5,200 properties across England and Wales, concentrated in metropolitan areas. He joined after spending a year as Programme Director of the NHS’s new hospitals programme. Prior to this, Craig was Chief Executive of Grosvenor Britain & Ireland from 2017-2020, having joined the business in 2010 as a board member. Prior to Grosvenor, Craig held roles in investment banking and private equity. Craig studied Land Economy at the University of Cambridge and is a Fellow of the RICS. Craig is vice chair of the University of Greenwich, chair of Coram’s Fields and Harmsworth Memorial Playground charity and a member of the endowment committees of Church Oxford and St John’s College, Cambridge.
Dr Nicola Millard
Principal Innovation Partner, BT Group
In her long and varied career at BT Dr Nicola Millard has done many jobs, including futurology, research, usability, customer service, marketing, and business consulting. She was involved with some BT firsts, including the first application of AI into BT’s call centres, BT’s initial experiments with home working, and helping to develop BT’s “net easy” score, a new way of measuring customer experience. She currently looks at innovation in both employee and customer experience for BT’s large corporate and public sector customers. Nicola got her PhD from Lancaster University in 2005 and has authored over 50 publications. She is an award-winning presenter, with 2 TEDx talks and hundreds of conference panel, chair and keynote sessions under her belt. She occasionally pops up on radio and TV around the world, including appearances on ‘Woman’s Hour’, ‘Tech Tent’, ‘The Media Show’, ‘The Genius of Invention’ and ‘Back in Time for the Weekend’ for the BBC.
Rob Morris
Managing Director, Siemens Mobility - Rail Infrastructure, Siemens Mobility
Rob is the Managing Director of Siemens Mobility - Rail Infrastructure, responsible for all its UK rail signalling, digital rail, automation and electrification activities across rail infrastructure for Network Rail, London Underground and Elizabeth Line. His career spans four decades in multi-disciplined major projects working for mining, power, general construction and technology-based businesses both internationally and in the U.K. He graduated as an Electro - Mechanical Engineer, expanding his knowledge and experience through a multitude of technologies and disciplines throughout his career. Rob's involvement in major rail, nuclear, Olympics, aviation, power & energy, oil & gas sectors provide him with a uniquely broad experience of what it takes to lead a complex business and to deliver major infrastructure across a number of sectors. His achievements are many and include transformational change culturally, organisationally and at industry level.
Christina Norton
Founding Director, Soundings
Christina is an architect and founding director of Soundings, a creative community and stakeholder engagement agency which supports placemaking, masterplanning and regeneration projects informed by the communities they serve. Christina has led multiple large scale, strategic urban and placemaking and public realm projects for London. Projects include High Street 2012, for the GLA; Westway Urban Design Strategy, Royal Docks Cultural Placemaking Strategy, the Mayfair Green Route and most recently North Finchley Town Centre Public Realm Design Framework, co-designed with local people. Christina has taught and lectured widely and was a founder member of the radical architecture group NATO, developing a narrative and dynamic approach to rich and layered city imaginings. Her work has been exhibited and published widely including as part of the Postmodernism Style and Subversion exhibition at the V&A in 2012. Her current obsessions are retrofitting streets for the 21 Century, delivering sustainability and net zero design whilst creating inclusive places that bring communities together to live, work and play.
Reena Patel

Reena specialises in multi-let and portfolio acquisitions, asset management, forward funding arrangements, mixed use and commercial development projects, as well as investment in the alternatives such as student accommodation, co-living, build to rent, senior living, social housing and hotels. Some of Reena's clients include BAE Systems Pension Funds, Columbia Threadneedle, Empiric Student Property, Hyde Housing Association, Land Securities, LaSalle Investment Management, Orion Capital Managers, Romulus and Westminster Council.
Daniel Philips
Senior Transport Planner, Arup
Daniel Philips is a Senior planner is Arup London office where he specialises in Public Transport Strategy within the Transport Economics and Growth team, supporting clients such as Heathrow Airport, Network Rail, DfT, GRBRTT and East West Rail as well as Arup’s work on public transport and decarboniastion. Covering strategy and economics Daniel leads work into the case for Transport interventions but also for looking at delivering holistic transport strategy including fares and ticketing, transport integration and investment in stations and first and last mile access. Daniel was an author of Arup’s collaboration with Businessldn on Transport in London a report which looked at transports recovery from the pandemic.
Gareth Powell
Managing Director, London Stansted Airport
Biography Gareth is Managing Director of London Stansted Airport, the fastest recovering major airport in the UK as well as the third biggest in the London system, with significant spare capacity to grow. Prior to the pandemic, the airport served approximately 28 million passengers and is projected to recapture those volumes in the next financial year. In the last year, the airport was able to process over 98 per cent of all passengers through security in less than fifteen minutes. Gareth joins from Transport for London (TfL), where he spent 19 years. His most recent roles were Deputy Commissioner and Chief Customer and Strategy Officer, which saw him lead TfL’s recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic. During his time at TfL, Gareth managed around £5bn of revenue and a workforce of more than 3,000 people, as well as key stakeholder relationships including with the Mayor of London.
Gerren Price
Chief Executive, Downtown DC BID
Gwendoline Cazenave was appointed CEO of Eurostar Group on 1 October 2022. The group was created by the merger of Eurostar and Thalys to create a European champion of high-speed rail. As part of her mandate, Gwendoline Cazenave will integrate the two companies, with the ambition of creating the backbone of sustainable travel, carrying 30 million passengers by 2030. This growth project aims to create a unique travel experience under a single brand. An enthusiastic European, she is guided by the wish to connect five European countries and 245 million people ever more efficiently. As a committed leader, she wishes to contribute to the revolution of sustainable travel by advancing rail as a responsible alternative to road and air travel. Although Gwendoline Cazenave began her career in auditing and finance, she quickly became a recognised operational manager in the rail sector, with a career marked by strategic achievements and successful transformations. During her 20 years at SNCF, she took up major challenges: in 2008, for example, she took over the management of the TER Brittany regional network, which had major strategic and political implications. In 2016, she became head of TGV Atlantique and took on the challenge of launching two high-speed lines, to Rennes and Bordeaux, at the same time. After a spell in strategy consulting at Oliver Wyman, she returned to the world of railways – and trains became her second home. Originally from the South of France, Gwendoline Cazenave is a graduate of Sciences Po Grenoble, the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Reims and McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She is a member of the Board of Tallano Technologies, a member of the Board of Union Financière de France (UFB), where she heads the Audit, Risks and Appointments Committee, and has just been appointed as a member of the Board of Irish Rail. She is also a mentor in the NGO Article 1, which works for equal opportunities for underprivileged youth.
Shantanu Rajawat
Leader, Hounslow, London Borough of Hounslow
Shantanu Rajawat is a lifelong resident of Hounslow, born in the Borough at West Middlesex Hospital and attending local state schools. With a long interest in youth engagement and empowerment, diverse communities, community relations and local public service he is a former Member of the Youth Parliament for Hounslow. The former Cabinet member for Finance has ensured diligent financial management to enable reinvestment in frontline services. Previously as Chair of the Disability Community Forum Shantanu worked passionately on behalf of the people with a range of disabilities. Cllr. Rajawat leaves behind a successful private sector career to focus full time on public service. He is married to Divya and has one son.
Annabelle Redman

Annabelle advises on a broad range of transactions with particular expertise in inward investment and residential-led mixed use development. Her recent experience includes the acquisition of sites subsequently developed for residential, retail, hotel, and office, and the disposal of those sites for values in the £50m-£100m range; acquisition and financing of a large portfolio of industrial and out of town retail estates, and the refinance of a £300m residential development in the south -west. Annabelle is a long-standing member of the team, having qualified at Clyde & Co in 2004 and been promoted to partner in 2014. Annabelle was appointed to the UK Board at Clyde & Co in 2022. She is also actively involved in The British Property Federation and Business London and acts as mentor to a number of professionals across the industry.

Hayley Rees – Managing Director, PIC Capital, Pension Insurance Corporation Hayley leads the PIC Capital team within Investments. The team has responsibility for sourcing and managing assets through both debt and equity, which makes purposeful investments that secure the pensions of our policyholders and make a difference for generations to come. This includes assets such as GPA First Street, and Wirral Waters, the UK’s largest urban regeneration project. Hayley was previously Head of Direct Investments at Legal and General, where she was responsible for the private debt portfolio supporting the annuity business. Hayley started her career at Barclays, originating and executing infrastructure assets.
James Rowbotham

James Rowbotham leads the Workplace Development team, responsible for the delivery of our existing workplace development pipeline from feasibility to completion. Prior to his current role he led the Project Management team delivering projects in our retail, office and regeneration portfolios; and was the Development Director on a number of schemes, including Deloitte’s HQ at One New Street Square, the refurbishment of Holborn Gate on High Holborn and Lucent, the mixed-use development behind Piccadilly Lights, Westminster. Prior to Landsec he held development roles at DTZ, Thornfield and Hammerson, working on major schemes across London and the UK including Principal Place, Smithfield Market, and Bishopsgate Goodsyard.
Professor Anusha Shah

Anusha Shah CEng FICE Hon Prof Hon DEng Anusha is a Senior Director for Resilient Cities and UK Climate Adaptation Leader at Arcadis. She’s a Senior Vice President and Fellow at the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), and the President -Elect for 2023. She will be the third woman and first person of colour to be elected as President in 205 years’ of ICE’s history. Anusha is also a Non-Executive Director at the Met Office, a trustee at the Green Alliance board and a Visiting Professor at several universities. She was awarded Honorary Professorship by University of Wolverhampton for Knowledge Transfer and an Honorary Doctorate of Engineering by University of East London for her services to address Climate Change. Anusha has specialisation in water and environmental engineering with over 22 years’ experience in designing, managing and leading projects and programmes both in the UK and internationally. She's a past chair of the Thames Estuary Partnership Board. A recipient of several awards including 2020 - Top 50 UK Women Engineers Sustainability and CECA – Inspiring Change Award, she was recognised by Climate Reframe as one of the UK’s leading BAME voices on climate change.
Valerie Shawcross

Val Shawcross has been the Independent Chair of the Heathrow Area Transport Forum since 2019, following her retirement from the post of Deputy Mayor for Transport in London to Mayor Sadiq Khan. She was previously an elected London Assembly member and Chaired London’s Fire and Emergency Planning Authority for 8 years for Mayor Livingstone. In the 1990s she was Leader of the London Borough of Croydon, having previously enjoyed a career in Overseas Aid and Development, notably with the Commonwealth Secretariat. In July Val will join the Crystal Palace Park Trust as its CEO.
Allen Simpson
Managing Director Strategy and Operations, London & Partners
Allen is Managing Director of Strategy & Operations at London & Partners, the business growth and destination agency for London. He was previously Interim Chief Executive, and prior to this Managing Director of Strategy and Corporate Affairs. In his current role, he leads the organisations’ financial, operations and governance functions as well as their strategy, research, and corporate affairs. Previously, Allen spent six years at Barclays Bank where he led the bank’s political strategy function, and acted as an adviser to the Chairman and wider senior leadership. He also led the bank’s business finance policy team, focusing on trade promotion, SMEs and scale-ups both in the UK and across the EU, including as Chair of the SME committee of the pan-European wholesale banking group AFME. Following the 2016 referendum, Allen led the organisation’s Brexit and global trade policy response. During the financial crisis, Allen worked from 2008-2012 at the London Stock Exchange as an adviser to the CEO and Chairman during the financial crisis, working to protect London’s position as the world’s leading financial centre. He has served in a number of government roles including within the UK Parliament, and civil service. Allen is married to Katy, who practices as a nurse in South London. They have one daughter.

Tom is Managing Director - Development for Canary Wharf Group, responsible for delivery of the 7 million sq ft development pipeline. The pipeline includes Canary Wharf’s North Quay and Wood Wharf developments; delivering over 3,000 homes, hotels, retail and commercial space, together with an life-sciences campus for London. In addition, the team leads the delivery of the final phase of the redevelopment of the Shell Centre with our partners Qatari Diar. Prior to joining Canary Wharf Group, Tom was the first Managing Director of the Euston Partnership, the Government’s largest real estate delivery partnership and established the Property Business of High Speed 2, created to realise social, economic and financial value from real estate development. Before HS2, Tom spent 10 years at LandSec.

She has 25 over years’ experience advising leading UK and international owners, developers, investors and occupiers on complex, high profile, commercial, retail, hotel, residential and mixed-use developments and regeneration projects across Central and Greater London. She has helped deliver major schemes across the Capital that have shaped our City and enhanced London’s global brand and reputation. Highly regarded and respected by her peers, Lisa is Chair of the London Property Alliance Camden Working Group and the Knowledge Quarter Liaison Group.
Stewart Wingate

Stewart Wingate joined Gatwick Airport as Chief Executive Officer in December 2009. Stewart joined Gatwick Airport from BAA Airports Limited where he spent five years in senior management roles at several airports. He was Managing Director of London’s Stansted Airport (2007-2009), Chief Executive Officer of Budapest Airport (2005-2007) and Customer Services Director of Glasgow Airport (2004-2005). Stewart holds a masters degree in Business Administration with distinction and a first-class honours degree in electrical and electronic engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
