A new London Careers Service to provide tailored support to young and adult Londoners, with a clear, costed plan for scaling up over time

Support for employees from sectors that have suffered the most due to COVID-19 or automation via a London Adult Retraining Scheme

An ambitious UK skills devolution programme overseen and coordinated by regional employer-led skills commissioning boards

And a London Apprenticeship Fund targeted at small firms and sectors affected by Covid-19 to re-start apprenticeship growth in the capital

A manifesto for the next Mayor of London

Our manifesto called on the Mayor to launch a new London Careers Service to provide tailored support to young and adult Londoners, with a clear, costed plan for scaling up over time. With unemployment in the capital the worst in the country, urgent changes are needed to support adults who need to reskill and those entering the jobs market.

Generation aims to support over 50s back into work

Generation UK & I, who support people into life-changing careers, are opening up their career support and bootcamps in Customer Support and Data Engineering to older learners – so that they can get help returning to, or starting employment. This is especially of interest to those who know over 50s who may be keen to get back into the workplace. Their research shows that people over 45 who are out of work are twice as likely to stay that way for more than one year than people under 25. Follow this link to find out more.
