Commenting on the latest Transport for London funding agreement, Adam Tyndall, Programme Director for Transport at London First, said:
“London is bouncing back from the pandemic with offices, bars and restaurants buzzing again – and public transport is no exception. Londoners want to make plans and establish new habits but a full recovery is being held back by the uncertainty that comes from endless negotiations and short-term funding deals for TfL. Both Westminster and City Hall must continue to work together to agree a long-term capital funding deal that enables TfL to support the UK economy over the coming years rather than just the next few months.”
